What Is an Affiliate Link?

SaasTreats.com is a participant in various affiliate marketing programs. This means that some links on this website are affiliate links — if you click on a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

An affiliate link works like this: when you click a link on SaasTreats.com to a third-party product, a tracking cookie is set in your browser. If you then complete a purchase within the cookie window, the affiliate program records that SaasTreats.com referred you and pays us a commission — typically a percentage of the sale price or a flat fee.

Does This Affect Our Recommendations?

No. Our editorial ratings and recommendations are determined by our review methodology — not by whether we have an affiliate relationship with a company. Several tools we rate highly have no affiliate program. Several tools in our affiliate programs have received critical or negative reviews.

Our editorial team is structurally separate from our commercial team. The people who write and rate tool reviews are not the same people who manage affiliate partnerships. This separation is enforced as a matter of policy — not just intention.

Affiliate income is how we keep our tools, templates, and content free for all users. We take this responsibility seriously: if our recommendations become unreliable, our readers stop trusting us, and the business model collapses. Our commercial interest is therefore aligned with our editorial integrity — not opposed to it.

If you ever want to know whether a specific link is an affiliate link, hover over it in your browser — affiliate links typically contain tracking parameters (such as ref=, aff_id=, or a network domain in the URL).

No. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or navigate to the product directly. In some cases, our exclusive coupon codes give you a lower price than going direct. We never inflate prices through affiliate links.

No. We do not accept payment to add a product to our review queue, to write a positive review, or to feature a product in our content. Our review process is initiated by our editorial team based on reader demand and search relevance. If a vendor offers us payment for a review, we decline.

Yes — and it has happened. Our scoring methodology is applied identically to all tools regardless of affiliate status. If a tool scores poorly on our 6-dimension framework, that score is published. Earning a commission from a tool does not protect it from a critical or negative review. We would rather lose affiliate income than lose reader trust.

If we end an affiliate relationship, we update any affected links to non-affiliate versions and remove the affiliate disclosure from those articles. The editorial rating and content remain unchanged — ending an affiliate relationship does not trigger a review update unless the product itself has changed.

Email us at disclosure@saastreats.com with the URL of the page and the specific link in question. We will investigate within 5 business days and confirm whether the link is an affiliate link and whether the disclosure was correctly applied. We take these reports seriously.
